Stanley Dawick (Boys’ High School) also qualified for the bronze medallion, but as he is yet too young to be granted the award, a certificate will be awarded in the. meantime.

In submitting the examination results for approval* the board of examiners remarked upon the high standard of the work submitted, which indicated careful training and patience on the part of the instructors. The chairman said he was sure he voiced the opinion of the executive in congratulating all the candidates upon their success, and in advising those who had not qualified to continue with their instruction and practice in order to qualify next year. Especially was the Boys’ High School to be referred to, over 40 pupils having received instruction, of whom 26 had qualified for various awards. The centre had every reason to be proud of its achievements, and he hoped that during the recess interest would not flag, so that next October a good start could be made for greater results. , •. ■ _ A suitable opportunity will betaken to present the awards granted at the various schools before the term holidays. • The Pat Cunningham Shield' competition results were formally approved, College Street School being the holders for the current yeaa.
