OVER GRAFTON BRIDGE.
TRAGEDY IN AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 20. A pedestrian on Grafton Bridge at eight o’clock to-night was horrified to see a man climb the parapet and hurl hfmself over. When the body was found in the scrub below life was extinct. The man was about 35 years of age. Written in pencil on a piece of cardboard in his pocket was the following message: “Ted Bell, I am going to commit suicide. I am going over Grafton Bridge.—Jose McLennan.” On another piece of paper an address in Vincent Street was given.
