REJECTED FILM.
BANNED BY CENSORS. AUSTRALIAN FIRM’S SUIT. LONDON, March 26. Australasian Films, Ltd., of New South AVales, 'successfully claimed through the High Court the return of £250 paid to Stanley M. Stock, London, for the hire of a ifilm entitled “Fortune’s Fool ” • Plaintiff's representative, Mr R. Godeau, evidence that the Australia n censors had rejected the film. Defendants suggested that the film could be reconstructed to pass the censors, but Mr Gordeau pointed, out that the agreement forbade this without written consent. Mr Justice Acton thought the agreement confused and difficult to inter-, prct, but held that the rejection by the censors was prinia facie evidence that the licensees had done what they were bound to do. Therefore they were entitled to judgment, with costs.
