FEILDING NEWS

ELUNKET society.

The monthly meeting of the Feilding Plunket Society was held on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Sugden presiding. Accounts amounting to £27 10s 3d were passed for payment. The nurse reported that 118 visits had been paid to homes; visits to the office totalled 184, and infants 179; total of 363. The number of new cases for the month was 19, advice by telephone had been given to 43 persons and 12 birth notices had been sent out. It was resolved to acoept the offer of the motor sports committee to cater for the sports on 23rd instant. Donations were received from the following: Mrs Lethbridge, £1 Is; Mrs W. G. Short, ss; Mrs Belk, 6s; Mr C. T. Williams, ss; Mrs Tingey, 6s; • Missfis Lethbridge, £1 Is; Miss M. Shortall, ss; box in rooms, 6s 7d.

PRESENTATION.

A pleasing little ceremony took place last night when the 'friends of Sir and Mrs H. Dooley gathered on the eve of their departure .on a holiday trip to England and Ireland, to make them a presentation as a tangible form of appreciation of the services of the departing guests had rendered all sections of the community. The Oroua branch of the "United Licensed Victuallers’ Association presented Mr Dooley with a gold-mounted fountain pen and Mrs Doolot with a gold pencil. Other friends of the guests presented Mr Dooley with a leather suitcase and Mrs Dooley with a travelling rug. The good wishes of the community were expressed in happy speeches followed by cheers for Mr and Mrs Dooley who left Feilding to-day for Wellington en route to Sydney, from where they will travel via Suez to England.

High School at Feilding; Kia Ora v. Colyton at Colyton; Herekoa v. Old Girls at Feilding. Fifth week: Carnarvon v. Old Girls at Carnarvon; Kia Ora v. Herekoa at Feilding; Colyton v. High School at Feilding

First week: Beaeonsfield v. Carnarvon at Feilding; Wanderers v. Marist at Feilding; Pirates v. Stanway at Stanway. Second week: Beaeonsfield v. Wanderers at Feilding; Carnarvon v. Marist at Carnarvon; Pirates v. Wesley at Feilding. Third week: Beaeonsfield v. Marist at Feilding; Carnarvon v. Wanderers at Feilding; Stanway v. Wesley at Stanway. Fourth week: Beaeonsfield v.
