Back in the days of the Great War, Edward Kaester and William Lawrence met on Flanders fields. Kaester had been cut off from his unit in the lrurrv'of an advance and was ration--I<3 Lawrence took pity on him, shared what scanty rations he had—and forgot all about the incident. He is due to be reminded, Kaester l as died in Chicago, and has left over *•200,000 to the generous Lawrence.
