FINANCING ENGLISH TOUR. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 16. E. H. Bowley has accepted reengagement as player-coach to the Auckland Cricket Association for the 1927-28 season. With the departure of the New Zealand cricket team for England; only two weeks away, £7841 of the £IO,OOO required to finance the tour by means of shares in New Zealand Cricket Ltd., is in hand. Details and promises received to March 12 are: N.Z. Cricket Council, £500; Canterbury, £4045; Auckland, £901; Wei-
lington, £1119: Otago, £332; West Coast, £6; Feiiding, £o9; Wanganui, £53: Hawke’s Bay, £2/0; Waiapu, £652; Ashburton, £5. The Management Committee of the ■A»ckland Cricket Association decided to-night to endeavour to increase its quota to £ISOO.
