FEILDING RESIDENT.
CELEBRATES 102nd BIRTHDAY. [Special to “Standard.”] ~~ FEILDING. March 2. Mrs W. H. Webb, of Feilding, celebrated her 102nd birthday to-day. Born at Silverwell, Cornwall, in 1825, Mrs Webb, then Miss Harris, was married in 1851 to Mr William Webb, of Liscard, Cornwall. They then left England for the Australian goldfields, arriving there in 1857 after a voyage of six montlrs in the American schooner Tornado. Some years later Mr and Mrs Webb moved on to the South 16land goldfields, subsequently settling in the Taranaki district. Mrs Webb had a family of two daughters and one son —Mrs G. H. Foote, of Feilding; Mrs F. Newell, of New Plymouth, and the late’ Mr W- H. Webb, of Stratford. She has been a resident of Feilding for a number of years. , The anniversary of her birthday is being celebrated by a family gathering and greetings have already been received .from a large circle of friends.
