SUPREME COURT.

GREYMOUTH SESSION. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, March 1. Mr Justice Adams opened the Supreme Court sitting this morning. The following prisoners were sentenced: —Thomas William Todd, aged 34, for three charges concerning a serious offence at Cobden received seven years’ imprisonment, the judge remarking that it was the worst case of tho kind he had ever dealt with. James Mcllroy, for two charges of theft at Westport and escaping from lawful custody, four months and two months’ imprisonment on each of the respective charges, the sentences to be cumulative. The Greymouth sifting of the court has been adjourned . until next week, Mr Justice Adams leaving to-day for Westport.
