MOTOR DRIVER SHOT.

WHANGAREI, Feb. 23. While Gilbert Rumbal, motor driver, employed by the Hospital Board, was extracting a jammed shell from the chamber of a pea rifle it exploded, the change passing through his ankle. He was immediately removed to the hospital, where he is progressing favourably.
