AMERICAN NAVY.
SENATE ADOPTS PROVISIONS. NEW CRUISER CONSTRUCTION. WASHINGTON, Feb. 1. The Senate adopted the provision in tho Naval Appropriations Bill, and voted 1,200,000 dollars towards the construction of three new cruisers. Tho vote was carried over President Coolidge’s expressed disapproval by a vote of 49 against 27.—A. and N.Z. cable.
