TIAKITAHUNA.
[From Our Own Correspondent.]
Shearing has now been completed in this district. Those who had not finished before Christmas availed themselves of the beautiful weather between Christmas and Now Year. Some of the wool appeared to be of a very good class, heavy fleeces being the orfler of the day. Hay-making is now in full swing, although the recent rain will not improve that which is lying on the ground.
Visitors from all parts of the country (chiefly towns) have been visiting friends in these parts. Some of the visitors were Mr and Mrs Rogers and family (Rangataua), Mr Bert Passey (Poilding). Mrs Robertson and family (Ohakuno), Mr and Mrs F. Garner (Plimmerton) and Miss A. McEwen (Taranaki). Those on vacation to other parts include Mrs Passey, Mias M. Neilsen, Messrs Bindon and Garner. Another tennis court has been opened for play during the past week, it being a very fine grass court •on the property of Mr W. Rowland. Several members of tho local tennis club have availed themselves of the opportunity of playing on this fine court.
