BUILDING SOCIETY. , ’ [Special to “Standard.”] ' FEILDING, Oct. 30. The annual meeting of the Feilding Permanent Building and- Investment Society was held yesterday afternoon, Mr E. H. Fisher presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The retiring directors, Messrs W. E. Carthew and W. G. Haybittle, were re-elected unopposed. Mr E. J. Wackrill was re-appointed auditor to the society. A discussion concerning the revision of the rules took place and after the addition of a, few minor amendments, they were adopted. UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS. Official" details of the annual term examinatijjns at Victoria; College, Wellington, the names of several Feildipg ; students who were successful in various subjects. Three of them are ex-pupils -of the local Agricultural High School. Following are the successes gained by the respective students in the subjects named: —Florence McIntyre, pass in English class 2, pass in History class 3; Rose Henaghan, pass in English class 3, pass in Education, class 3 (internal students) ; Clarice McIlroy, passes in both English and French, Classes 3 (exempted students); Wallace Gosnell, passes in Philosophy, class 1 (internal students) and Education, class 3 (internal students); Gilbert Read, passes in Mathematics (calculus), applied Mathematics (class 3) and Chemistry (Class 3, Part 3.)
