ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY'S GRAND CONCERT.
Honorary members of the Orchestral Society are notified that the box plan will open at the Opera House to-mor-row morning at 10 o’clock and the general public may book from Thursday onwards. At the practice last evening considerable advance was shown by the orchestra and it is felt by all that the concert will eclipse anything previously presented. Undoubtedly • the gem of the evening will be tho pianoforte concerto. This brilliant work by Saint-Saens will be performed for the first time in New Zealarid and in its solo pianist, Miss Enid Wilson, the society has a young lady pf wonderful talent. The accompaniment by the orchestra will be everything that is desired to make the number a memorable one. Tho society will bo assisted by Mr Barnett, cellist, whose services are available through the courtesy of Mr Scott, of the Rosy Theatre. Miss Arini Ashworth will be tho only vocalist on this occasion and her numbers are sure to please. As the society has a. very large honorary membership, there is bound to be a large booking and those intending to be present will be well advised to attend at the box office to-morrow.
