MEMORIAL HALL.
FOR JEWISH CONGREGATION. APPLICATION TO COUNCIL. The Jewish congregation of Auckland wish to erect a memorial hall on a small piece of ground adjoining the Jewish Cemetery in Karangahape road and have asked the City Council to consent to legislation to vest the aiea in them. The land in question was at one time vested in the Beth Israel Trust Board, but it passed to the control of the City Council under the Symonds Street Cemeteries Act. The City Council has referred the matter to the Finance and Legal Committee for a report.
