The Coachmakers’ Union, on behalf of the members who are employees of the railway, commissioners, have lodged claims asking, inter alia, for a 36 hour week for painters, an increase in wages by 25 per cent, and a 40 hour .week for members engaged in carriage and wagon building and carriage trimming.—Press Association.
