EVANGELIST SENSATION. TALE OF A TELEGRAM. LOS ANGELES, July 14. . Kenneth .Ormiston, formerly the radio operator at the Angelus Temple, is to-day more than ever the central figure in connection with the mystery of Mrs Aimee McPherson’s disappearance, which the grand jury is attempting to solve. Detectives have been searching for Ormiston for ten days and it is possible that the inquiry will be adjourned until he is found. The District Attorney, Mr Asa Keyes, announced to-day that three days after the reported kidnapping, Mrs Kennedy, mother of Mrs McPherson, received a telegram from Oakland, reading, “Daughter O.K. Don’t worry. Communication proven. Am signing for J.H.A., whom I believe 0.K.. Details in mail.” This telegrnm was" signed by “Dr. Burton.” Ormiston was in Oakland at the time, and handwriting experts declare that the original telegram is in his handwriting.
