FOREST GIANT.

20,000 FT OF TIMBER. SYDNEY, July 3. From the forests of the Camden Haven river between Tarcc and Wauchopo a blackbut tree of huge proportions has been felled. Its height from the ground to the first branch was 84 feet, whilst at the butt its circumference was 23 feet.

It ■is to be sawn at the mills of Messrs Hevdon and Mclncs, Ross Glen, and is estimated to yield 20,000 feet of timber, worth at the’ruling rate for this class of timber about £3OO.
