Carroll held musicloving New Zealand spellbound with the witchery of Kreisler’s music. This year lie is bringing to this country the Don Cossacks, the historic Russian Choir, whoso singing has shaken the art countries of Europe to tlieir foundations. They are indeed ono of the wonders of the world. The Don Cossack Choir consists of 36 men and is a product of the Great War, in which all members have taken part from beginning to the end. The concerts are of an exceptionally high standard, owing to the iron discipline prevailing in the Choir, and arising out of the iron sohool of war, and their modest and serious appearance invariably gains them the sympathy of their audience.
