TBy Telegraph.—Special to Standard.] WELLINGTON, June 22. Sir James Carroll, M-L.C., was taken seriously ill m Wellington today. He had a sudden seizure and at present is unconscious. Lady CarroU has been sent for and will be here towas present at the opening of Parliament and also at the tea given by Mrs Coates in the afternoon. He was as usual in a cheery mood but in answer to inquiries by his o d friends as to how he was lie replied to all and sundry with his charming smile: “Very well outside, but very bad inside.” He seemed to have a premonition that he would not be much longer with us.
