The whaler William Scoresby, manned by a crew of 33, including Edmund Semper, who was formerly associated with Shackleton’s and Peary’s Polar expeditions, is departing from Hull on a South Polar sciem tific expedition, which _ the Falkland Islands Government is financing.— Sydney Sun cable.
