The Evening News discloses that, at the Liberal candidates’ meeting on June 12, it was reported that a Liberal peer had offered to contribute £1,000,000 to the Liberal Party funds on the condition that Mr Lloyd George no longer bo associated with the party. Lively exchanges are expected at the forthcoming conference of the National Liberal Federation, which Lord Oxford and Asquith and Mr Lloyd George will attend.—Sydney Sun cable.
