AUCKLAND HARBOUR.

SCHEME OF DEVELOPMENT

The Auckland Harbour Board has decided to proceed at once with the first section of its scheme for further development of the port. The cost of this section is estimated at £600,000 and the whole scheme at £5,500,000. The most important work in the section is the western reclamation, a new vehicular ferry landing at Northcote, a boat harbour to accommodate 000 pleasure boats, and the construction of a viaduct to give railway connection with the Western Wharf.
