GIRL GUIDES.
LADY DALRYMPLE’S VISIT.
A distinguished visitor in Lady Dalrymple, a prominent English Commissioner of the Girl Guides movement, will address a public meeting at the Council Chambers on Friday, May 14, at 2.30 p.m., when the Mayor, Mr F. J. Nathan, will occupy the chair. Ladv Dalrymple is at present touring the with the object of arousing interest in the movement. At 5 o’clock on Friday she will inspect the Ist Palmerston North Company of Girl Guides, and at 7.30 p.m. a film relating to the work of girl guides will be shown at the Opera House (by kind permission of Mr H. E. Bennett) in conjunction with the usual programme. Bookings for this aro going well. The local officers attendant on Lady Dalrymple will be Captain Vasey, of Palmerston North, and Captain (designator) Dent (Foxton). During her stay in town Lady Dalrymple will be the guest of Mrs A. E. Russell.
