BUNNYTHORPE.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Mr and Mrs Davoy, who have been spending tho Easter holidays with Mr J. H. Dixon, have returned to their home in Auckland.
Mr A. Sutton, of Thames, is a visitor to Mr R. Stewart on a holiday. The Anglican Church members held a most successful euchre and dance on the 9th inst., there being a good attendance and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The annual meeting of householders in connection with the school committee election is to take place on the 19th inst. The report to be presented by tho present oommitteo will show the work they have carried out during the past year and the balance-sheet shows a total expenditure of over £3OO. Tho committee is to he congratulated on tho improvements carried out which will give every comfort to the children attending tho school. I understand some of tho old members of the committee are not seeking re-eleetion. It is to bo hoped that tho householders will again take an interest in the meeting a? in past years, as it is only by tho householders turning up that one gets the host results.
Our local football club played a match botweon juniors and thirds on Saturday afternoon, when some good play was witnessed. The coach, Mr 0. Jackson, hopes to have both teams in good form before tho competitions start.
