WILL COMPETE IN ENGLAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 10. A special meeting of tho New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held to-day .to farewell Rose and McHolm, who leave to-morrow night for Auckland. It was stated that they would proceed via Vancouver to New York, where they would bo met by Mr G. Krogness, junr, and also representatives of the American Amateur Athletic Association. Then they will go to Engiand. where they will bo met by the council’s representative, Mr A. E. Porritt. Rose will compete in the English championships on July
Responding to tho farewoll, Rose said ho fully intended to do his very best.
McHolm promised to do his duties thoroughly, and said Rose was one of the most promising men New Zealand ever sent abroad.
