ORIENT LODGE. FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. There was a fair attendance at the jsual fortnightly meeting of the Orient Lodge last night, when N.G. Bro. Hickey presided. Two new members were proposed. It was agreed to play a return card match with the Hinekoa Rebekah Lodge oil Friday, 16th inst. The secretary, during the evening, explained the recent press report dealing with the proposed increase in benefits, and it is fully anticipated that such will eventuate, when the registrar’s sanction has been given. It was also reported that the new medical scheme, which commenced on January 1, was receiving the practical support of the majority of members. The quarterly balance-sheet and report are to be presented at the next meeting of the lodge. At the conclusion of business the members conducted a card tournament. COURT MANAAVATU. The fortnightly meeting of Court Manawatu, 1.0. F., No. 6655 was held in the Foresters . Hall, Mam itreet, on Wednesday night. lheG.R., Bro. J. Boucher, presided .over a fair attendance of members including a number of visiting brethren from other courts. A vote of sympathy was passed and a letter of condolence ordered to be sent to the relatives of the late Bro. Arrow and P.D.C.R. Bro. R. Dixon; also a letter of condolenco to Bro. A. Anderson in his. recent sad. bereavement. One candidate was proposed for membership, dhe meeting then concluded.
