CHARGES AT HOKITIKA. Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, April S. A charge against tho licenseo of the Railway Hotel of selling and exposing liquor after hours was dismissed by tho Magistrate to-day. The evidence showed that, following a fire in Baty’s garage on a recent Sunday morning, tho licensee, whose premises adjoin the destroyed building, and which were in danger for a while, invited the firemen and those assisting to partake of refreshment. Arising from the same circumstances, a barman and a young man ivotc convicted, the former for exposing liquor and the latter for being found on licensed premises without legal excuse, the Magistrate holding that a person cannot enter an hotel, even at the invitation of the licensee, during prohibited hours for tho purpose of haling a drink.
