THE HOLIDAYS.

The weather gave promise this morning to all contemplating a day out of doors of ail ideal Easter Monday, although clouds banked up towards mid-day. The Easter bowling and Association football tournaments were continued under the most favourable auspices, ..lid the first round of the championsnip event of the golf tournament was played at the Hokowhitu links during the forenoon.
The Caledonian sports, the separate bowling tournament at the Takaro Club, the tennis tournament at the Linton street courts, and a cricket match against Napier Technical School Old Boys_ constituted the balance of the sports events in town.
The weather conditions especially favoured the Girl Citizens’ camp at Awapuni and the Baptist Y.W.B.C. camp at the Showgrounds, a picnic in connection with the latter being held at Tiritea to-day.
