HEALTH INSURANCE.
REDUCED CONTRIBUTIONS. LONDON, April 1. The House of Commons rose after an all-night sitting, which lasted nineteen hours, when the Government secured the passage of clause lof the Economy Bill, providing for a reduction of contributions to the national health insurance fund, instead of the first two clauses, which the Government hoped to pass before Easter. The Opposition contended that the clause was unjust to fifteen million insured persons, whose chances of additional benefits would be curtailed by the reduction of contributions.—Reuter.
