While travelling to a fire at South Yarra a. collision occurred between a fire engine from Windsor station and a tram car with the result that one fireman was killed and three were seriously injured The engine stopped 'at an intersect in to allow a tram to pass and then moved forward, apparently without noticing the approach of another tram, which crashed into the side of the engine on which the firemen wero sitting.—Press Association.
