THEFT AT WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, April 1. At the- Magistrate’s Court Patrick Joseph McGrath, a labourer, aged 33, who pleaded guilty to the theft of clothing and a camera valued at £33, from W. G. Rapley, was sentenced to three months’ hard labour. Ho also admitted being £BB 10s in arrears on a maintenance order for the support of children. This matter was adjourned to give him a chance to get work.
