NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was passed at a Special Meeting of the Council on the Dth day of March. 1926, viz:— In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 22 of The Manawatu Gorge Road and Bridge Act, 1919 and by The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913 and of all other Acts and powgrs (if any) it in that behalf enabling the lvairanga County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: (1) That the Council proceed to raise a loan 'of nine hundred pounds (£900) for tho purpose of completing contribution to tho Manawatu Gorge Board of Control to finish tho Gorge Road. (2) That such loan be called “Tho Kai-j ranga County Manawatu Gorge Road Contribution Loan of £9Oll. 1925.” (3) That the currency of the said loan sSall be for a period of twenty (20) years commencing on the 30th day of September, 1925, and maturing on tho 30th day of September, 1945. (4) That the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of six pounds (£6) per centum per annum and shall bo payable half-yearly on each 31st day of March and 30th day of September in each and every year. (5) That the form of security for the payment of principal and interest an the said loan shall bo one (1; uebenture of nino hundred pounds (£900) and relative coupons in a form in conformity with tho provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913. (6) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge us security for the repayment of tho said loan and tho interest sinking land and other charges thereon the special rate of six one-thousandths (6lOOOths) of a penny in the pound sterling on tho rateable value (on the basis of tho unimproved value; of ail rateablo property in the whole of tho County of Kairanga. (7) That the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. (8) That the cost of raising tho loan be paid out of tho loan and tho interest and sinking fund for the first year of the said loan bo not paid out of the loan. And it is the intention of tho Council to confirm such resolution at the ordinary monthly meeting of tho Council, to bo held at the Council Office, Palmerston North, at 10 o’clock of the forenoon on the 13tli day April, 1026.
