AWAHUBI SCHOOL

PICNIC, SPORTS AND PRIZEGIVING.

Beautiful weathor favoured tho Awahuri School picnic, sports and prize-giving, held in Air Daubin’s grounds, Awahuri, last week. Energetic bands of ladies and gentlemen were responsible for tho provision of meals and for tho conduct of the sports. Later in the day tho most important ceromony, tliafi of presenting tho prizos won last year, was undertaken by the chairman of tho School,Committee, Air Bond, who took the opportunity of thanking all those who hud helped with tho gathering, find Air Dawbin in particular for tho use of his grounds. Reference was made to the illness of the headmaster, Mr Bouslield, who is being relieved by Air Handley, of Wanganui.
