NEW ZEALAND SUCCESSES.
RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED
SYDNEY, March 29. The Royal Agricultural Society’s Easter show opened in beautiful weather, with record entries, received from all the States and Now Zealand, tho Dominion having a specially fine display in the cattle section. Although to-day was devoted to judging, the attendance already bids fair to create a record. The following show awards havo been announced :—For Aberdeen Angus cow or hoifer, two yeai‘9 and under three, Mr D. Allan’s (Wellington) Sunbeam of Ben Lomond secured second prize. In tho section for heifer, one year and under two, Mr D. Allan’s Twinkle of Ben Lomond gained first prizo and reserve champion. , For Shorthorn' bull, three years and under four, Mr L. White’s (Canterbury) Langley Peer was firsthand tho same owner’s Langley Prince was second. In the cow or heifer, two years and under three, Mr J. Burgess’s (Wellington) Canning Downs South Lady Donnington was first. In the fat cattle, any breed, or cross, for fat ox not exceeding five years, Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Company (Wellington) gained first prizo. In the Friesians, tho reserve champion cow was the Bloomfield Farm Company’s (Wellington) Willowvale Galatea Segis. For cow four years old and over in calf, tho Bloomfield Farm Company’s Willowvale Galatea Segis was first.—Press Association.
