The fact that tho consumption of alcohol in Great Britain has been considerably less since the war is revealed by the latest figures. There has been a reduction of fourteen million gallons of spirits or seven million barrels. There has been an increase of five million gallons of wines. The expenditure last year was £7 4/per head or slightly more than £315,000,000.
