TRAINS DELAYED.

DERAILMENT IN THE NORTH

As the result of the derailment of a goods train in the Okaliune district, the south-bound Main Trunk express did not reach Palmerston North till about 1.15 o’clock this afternoon, being thus four hours behind schedule time. The north and south-bound Napier mail trains and tho New Plymouth Mail were all held up at Palmerston North, tho first and lastnamed to permit passengers from the north to connect with them, while the south-bound Napier train was delayed to give the Main Trunk express right of the permanent way.
