PHAROAH’S MUMMY

SLUMBER UNDISTURBED. TUTANKHAMEN TO BE REBURIED. Received March 12. 12.30 p.m. CAIRO, March 11. Tutankhamen will shortly be allowed to continue his disturbed slumbers. It is reported that tho Antiquities Department has decided to re-bury the mummy in a plain iron casket within one of the tombs, in a smaller chamber, on which a notice will be affixed informing archaeologists that it is only Tutankhamen’s tomb, and that any information in connection with it may be found at the Cairo Museum, thus preventing it being re-disturbed centuries hence.—A. and N.Z. cable.
