INCOME TAX.
SYSTEM IN DOMINIONS. PROTEST BEING MADE. Received March 12, 9.35 a.m. LONDON, March 11. The Northants Chamber of Cojnmerce adopted a resolution for presentation to Mr Baldwin protesting against the system wherejsy certain Dominions charged income tax upon absentee principals. A member stated that tho New Zealand authorities, through his agent, were demanding a tax on the estimated profits on his sales there. The Chamber recommended resistance of the demand and urged the Government to bring up tho matter at the Imperial Conference. —Sydney Sun cable.
