PAHIATUA RACING CLUB’S MEETING. The Paliiatua Racing Club will hold its meeting to-morrow and Thursday and, with a good prospect of tho weather proving in full keeping with tho season, capital sport is well assured. Tho acceptances for to-mor-row all round are very satisfactory. Thero are 14 acceptors ,in tho Cup, Bright Day being at tho top of tho list with 8.13, and as he is in such capital form just now that poundago will not prevent him from taking a prominent part in tho settlement of the race, while Tall Timber’s form at Foxton will secure him a good following. Tho othor raco of importance is tho President’s Handicap, of six furlongs, 10 animals appearing in the list. Lady Fingers has tho tidy weight of 9.0, but sho should run well. Standard (8.8), Hydo Park (7.8) and King Cheops (7.0) aro a useful trio, and will command attention. _ Tho lastmentioned, who is now trained by H. Doyle, showed a lot of pace in the early stages of tho Wharangi Handicap at Foxton. In tho other events Bevis, Bright Knight, Novar, Our Jack and ltahepoto aro well placed.
