COMPANIES TO AMALGAMATE. Tho directors of tho Nippon Yusen Kaisha and tho Toyo lvisen Kaislia formally agreed to the amalgamation of the shipping companies this afternoon, provided tho Diet grants a subsidy whereby the Nippon Yusen Kaisha will be enabled to construct superior trans-Pacfic vessels. The Toyo Kisen Kaisha receives 125,000 shares from tho Nippon Yusen Kaisha. —Reuter.
