LOST POLISH COLONY.

DISCOVERY BY NATURALIST. RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 23. Tho discovery of a lost Polish colony, numbering one thousand, _in tho Dove river valley, m Espiritu toanto State, is reported by a Polish naturalist, Stanislaus Przyjemski. Tho colony had been lost since 1873. The discoverer found tlio Poles grouped in complete isolation, and still talking tlio Polish language. Tho original settlers were dead, and their chidlren and grandchildren had no knowledge of relatives in the mother country.—A. aud N.Z. cable.
