OPPOSITION TO PROPOSALS. PARIS, Jan. 23. The Stock Exchange strike against the proposed taxation was purely a one-day affair. Work will be resumed on Alondasq when the Chamber of Deputies will debate the Finance Committee’s proposals regarding an increased tax on transactions. —Reuter.
