PERSONAL.
Senior-Sergeant o’Grady, of the local police force, who has been absent from duty for the past fortnight owing to indisposition, is at present in Wellington oil leave. Ensign Eraser, who replaces Adjutant Canty as officer in charge of the local Salvation Corps, arrived from Wellington by tho New Plymouth mail ti'ain to-day. The Governor-General has been advised, states an Auckland Press Association message, that the King has conferred. the following honours for services ill connection, with the Wembley Exhibition: K.8.E., Mr Alexander Fowler Roberts, C. 8.0., Commissioner for New Zealand; C.8.E., Mr William Edwin C. Iteid, assistant-Commis-sioner.
