ALLEGED THEFT.

LABOURER REMANDED

Described ns a labourer, Percy Bartholomew Lamb, 40 years of ago, appeared before Mr A. J. Graham, J.P., at the Police Court this morning on a charge that, at Palmerston North, on January 19, he did steal £1 16s, the property of James Cook Young. On tho application of Sergeant Power, accused was remanded till Monday next. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 19. Frank Halligan, who jumped from a third-storey -window of the Dominion Hotel on January 8, when discovered in a room occupied by one of tho staff, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today charged with the theft of property valued at £3 15s. He pleaded not guilty and was to the Supreme Court for trial.
