AGREEMENT WITH MARCONI’S

WORLD-WIDE SERVICES ESTABLISHED, (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received January 4, 9.15 a.on. LONDON, Jan. 3. The Marconi Company announces the conclusion of an agreement with the Postmaster-General- enabling the company to conduct services with nine further European countries and all foreign countries outside Europe, in addition to four European countries and the United States already operating. This will enable the company to proceed with the establishment of a world-wide service. The directors are of opinion that the beam sendees between Britain, Ca: ida and South Africa will bo ready for working by April and between India and Australia in mid-August.

Tho company is also constructing stations to connect Portugal and her colonies and link Portugal with the rest of the won.,.—Reuter.
