BENNETT’S PICTURES. "THE FIGHTING HEART.” Surrounded by an excellent supporting cast, George O’Brien comes to the Opera llouso to-night in John Ford’s latest picture for William Fox, “The Fighting Heart,” based on Larry Evans’ story "Once to Every Man.” It is said to bo ono of tho finosti things this rising young William Fox player has done on tho screen. In tho cast aro J. Farrell MacDonald, Francis Powers. James Marcus Francis Ford and Harvey Clark, all of whom lend admirable support to O’Brion. Tho latter appears first as a country boy. Ho goes to tho city and is later seen as a prize fighter. In this phase of the storv his romaricablo physique and boxing ability show to groat advantage. . Then ho appears as tho well groomed habitue of Broadway’s gilded palaces. Billio Dove plays opposite O’Brien and gives a charming interpretation of tho girl of his droams. Victor MacLaglon as “Soapy” . Williams, town bully and later ring champion, whom O’Brien fights, is convincing. J. Farroll MacDonald is Jerry, tho mailman. Diana Miller plays a chorus girl adventuress with finesse. “Honeymoon Limited,” a 2-rool comedy, a Fox News, and an illustrated song will aho bo shown the lattor to a special musicial accompaniment. KOSY. TWO BIG FEATURES. Chadwick Pictures. Corporction screen version of the famous spectacle, L. Frank Baum’s “Wizard of Oz,” is showing at tho Kosy Theatre to-night. PALACE THEATRE “THREE WEEKS.” A new motion picturo wliicli should rank right at tho top, with tho best that the industry affords, is Goldwyin’s screen version of Elinor Glyn’s sensational novel, “Three Weok’s which will bo seen tonight at tho Palaco Theatro. Tho story of “Three Weeks” recounts tho love romance that camo to the Queen of Sardalia and tho young Englishman, Paul Verdayne. Tho Queen dies at tho hands of her dissolute husband, but Paul, her lover, through his deep and enduring affoction for her, iriado of his life a monument to her character and her influence. Tho story is told in tho photoplay with a wealth'of detail and a vivdness of acting which will insure tho screen version a wide popularity. “THE WHITE SISTER.” FEATURING LILLIAN GISH. “One of tho most powerful pictures ever filmed,” is the description of “The White Sister," which features Lillian Gish. This picture will commence its Palmerston North souson on Monday at 2 p.m. and at 8 p.m. It is declared that to state that “The White Sister” is wonderful is only speaking mildly on the subject. No ono can pass through its gripping, thoroughly fascinating influence without feeling profoundly moved. It is drama as drama was first conceived to be—strong, elemental, passionato and ruthless.
