HOW AUCKLAND CUP WAS WON. All went to the post for tho Auckland Cup on Saturday, and the contestants all looked well (says the Star). Count Cavour was the favourite, carrying about £2500 more than The Banker, while Rapine, next in demand, was only entrusted with about half the amount invested on Count Cavour.
