TERRIBLE INJURIES.

STRUCK BY MAIL TRAIN. SYDNEY, Dec. 16. Struck by the Hay mail train at Junee last night, a young man, Alfred Baldwin, was so terribly mutilated that several hours passed before he could bo identified. Baldwin was employed as a fitter at the engine sheds, and stepped from between two stationary engines on his way home from work, at 5.55 p.m. The train had previously been reported as 15 minutes late, and it is supposed that Baldwin did not look up the line, thinking that tho train would be some time. Baldwin was rolling a cigarette, and is said (o have suddenly put up his hand as if to ward off the engine. The cigarette was later found on the engine.
