MR MACDONALD’S STATEMENT. LONDON, Dec. 20. While speaking at Leicester, Mr Ramsay MacDonald, said that Russia existed and neither prayers, armed activity nor indifference could wipe it out. Britain could do nothing of any importance towards the peace of Europo and the world without becoming awaro of tho fact that there was a nation and government of Russia, with which she must have some relation. M. Tchitclierin’s visit to Paris was more significant than tho Government cared to confess. —A. and N.Z. cable.
