AN EXHIBITION STAND. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 21. At the Police Court David Livingstone was charged that, by means of a certain device, ho disposed of personal property, suon boing allotted by the drawing of envelopes at a stand at the exhibition, this being made by chance. Tlio defendant was fined £5, Assistants disposed of packets of a reddish material, lvhich tlio defendant called eastern floriont, an alleged disinfectant, Each paolcet-, at a cost of Is had a coupon attached arid the purchaser handed this to tho assistant and received an articlo plus tlio packet. The magistrate held that no judgment or discrimination on the part of a customer could possibly be exercised in order to obtain any, particular rebate. The fine was increased in order to give the defendant the opportunity of appealing, .
